Angle Iron / Central Queue

July 27th, 2013. Alan W. and I decided to follow up on our after work climb from a couple of weeks back with a quick half day of climbing at Waterton. Our previous (first) time climbing together, we ended up bailing on a multi-pitch due to inexperience and impending darkness. It was a good fun and reinforced some basic fundamentals, i.e. pay attention to route finding and make sure you have enough daylight to do a long multi-pitch or else make sure you can find a way back down. We ended up abandoning a long webbing in the process around a big rock horn. Today, we had another slight deviation from our original plan - having decided on Beeline we went slightly too far to the right along the ledge. In the process we found a bolted route that was not in my old guidebook (should have used Goble's updated guide ipod app!) Anyway it was a good route. Got back in time to take Nicolas to the Henderson Lake pool in the early afternoon.

I traversed over and stuck my head inside the chimney, but I couldn't find a really solid foothold or first placement so after dickering about for a bit we decided to rap down. We left the ropes in place and top roped Central Queue (the bolted route slightly to the right of Angle Iron, where we had climbed up).
